Synopsis:

After Donald Trump’s meeting with Vladimir Putin in Helsinki in July, 2018, Trump announced to the world that he trusted the word of the Russian leader over that of his own security organisations.  His fellow-Americans were utterly flabbergasted and appalled.

This is the behind-the-scenes story that led to that public pronouncement – spiced with a little artistic licence.
