Two couples who go way back – April and Leo, and Nora and Julian – are onto wine and cheese at the end of a leisurely dinner.
The discussion ranges widely, over all the usual upper-middle class territory, covering everything from toilet-training to geopolitics, encompassing attitudes from the far Left to the mid-Right.
Suddenly, at the stroke of midnight, an armed man – Jack – bursts in on the gathering, and they find themselves suddenly pitting their armchair ethics against the demands of the real world.
