..Or Not To Be

Synopsis:

Jade, a woman in her early 30s, is concerned about the direction in which the world seems headed, and has decided she doesn’t wish to bring a child into it.  Her partner, Brent, is dismissive of her fears, and would like to become a father.

The relationship is stressed to the point where Jade leaves him but, after 3 months, feels she can’t live without him and returns.

Brent loses his job, due to the incursion of AI, whilst Jade is promoted and is doing well financially.  In the midst of her rise, however, she falls pregnant.  Brent wants to keep the child, but Jade wants to have an abortion.

We visit them once more some 5 years down the track, in order to see how it all panned out.

In a play very much of the moment, we witness the pressures under which couples find themselves when it seems that the end of the world may well be nigh.
