Synopsis:
Adolpha is a somewhat misanthropic Nobel Laureate.
She makes a public statement casting doubt on the validity of the claims of trans people and, as a result, is cancelled, all of her books being removed from the shelves
She is attacked with a knife by a white woman by the name of Toni Morrison, and almost dies as a result.
Morrison believes that she herself deserves to be a Nobel laureate, and that the ‘real’ Toni Morrison has cheated her of her destiny.
She escapes police custody and confronts Adolpha in hospital, intending to finish the job she started with the knife.
This sets forth a train of events that result in the revelation of profound secrets – secrets that may well die with Adolpha.
