Synopsis:

‘Guard Marks’ refers to the slight impressions that security guards leave on door jambs as they lean back, resting one foot on the other.

Our story is told by Alexa, a young security guard as the state gallery, who takes us through the many frustrations of a security guard’s life until, finally, the pressure builds to such a degree that she feels impelled to leave a somewhat greater impression on the gallery.
