Holly, a misanthrope, finds to her horror that she’s lonely. Finding her isolation hard to cope with, she visits a new GP, Renata.
Holly manages to manoeuvre the conversation in such a way that, by its end, Renata – very much against her better judgement – has agreed to go for a walk with her once a week, more or less in the way one might as a friend.
What ensues is a complex, evolving relationship that slips and slides and crosses boundaries.
Both women find much to recommend the relationship, yet both, in a way, feel trapped.
But how does one end a friendship? There are no rules.
