Synopsis:
Eleanor Foot – a writer, a feminist icon – is dying.
Amanda, her long-time publisher, has asked Nelson Flint, a well-known Black biographer, to write Eleanor’s biography.
Huan, Eleanor’s wife, feels he is a poor choice, partly because he’s a male, but also because she doesn’t quite trust him.
Three years later, the book is a spectacular critical and commercial success.
But then a young woman, Tess, comes forward and claims that Nelson raped her when she was 16.
Women’s rights go head-to-head with Black rights in this epic legal battle.
