Disorder

Synopsis:

Kanav runs HR at Cruikshank Publishing.  He informs Katrina, his boss, that Marilyn, one of the subeditors, has been the subject of several complaints from co-workers, on account of her brusque manner.

Katrina says she will speak to Marilyn, but Kanav assures her that he can do the job.  However, his meeting with Marilyn goes badly, resulting in her taking stress leave and considering legal action.

Meanwhile, Kanav is being hounded by one of the authors, Henrietta Hirschbaum, who has spent ten years of her life writing a book about Chaos Theory.  Katrina is disposed towards publishing it, as it makes a statement about women in science, but Kanav is convinced that Chaos Theory is very much passe.

Katrina makes a pass at Kanav, Kanav’s assistant, Tracy, admits to being on antidepressants, Marilyn sues the company, Hirschbaum commits suicide as a result of feeling ignored by the company, Kanav is overdosing on tranquillisers, and it’s all considered business as usual.
