Crito

Synopsis:

Trump, jailed for having shot dead a Black woman on Fifth Avenue in order to prove the loyalty of his base, is regularly visited by Giuliani, who has plans to extricate him from prison and send him to Moscow in order to avoid a life sentence.

But through their discussion – which is mirrored throughout by eerily relevant dialogue excerpts from the ancient Greek play ‘Crito’ – a play in which Crito tries to talk Socrates into a devious way in which to avoid his death sentence – they end up lighting upon a far more devious scheme.

The degree to which Trump has shifted the moral Overton window since the time of Socrates is nothing short of jaw-dropping.
