Synopsis:

Who is King Lear?  Why is there no Queen Lear?  What happened to her and why?  Why is his youngest daughter, Cordelia, so reticent in her expressions of love for her father?  Why does he turn so sharply, so venomously against her?  Why does she proclaim: ‘Sure I shall never marry like my sisters, To love my father all.’
