Description

Synopsis:

Asher, an observant young, gay Jew, comes to Zev in order to undergo conversion therapy, paid for by his parents.

Being orthodox, Asher is disgusted by his ‘condition’, and desperately wants to be straight, so that he can fit in with his community and no longer offend his God.

Zev welcomes him, soothes him, reassures him that he is not alone and that he can beat this ‘problem’.

But, with each successive session, the ‘therapy’ becomes more brutal until, finally, Asher rebels, and Zev is forced to examine his motives and, indeed, his soul.

At the end of their intense, often confronting journey, we are left with the question:  Which one of the pair has undergone conversion?
