Description

Synopsis:

It is the year 2000.

‘Boomers’ is a chaotic, dark satire exploring themes of generational entitlement, societal decay, and personal dysfunction. It follows multiple interconnected characters, including Jack Rollinson, a Vietnam veteran and former senator, who stages a bizarre media spectacle atop the Golden Gate Bridge with his young son. Jack uses the platform to deliver philosophical monologues about societal collapse, freedom, and human nature, while grappling with his own mortality due to recurring cancer.

The narrative intertwines Jack’s story with other characters, including Bill Moran, a ruthless media tycoon; Madison, Jack’s estranged wife; Vaughan Daniels, a cardiac surgeon haunted by personal and professional failures; and Kerry, a battered woman seeking escape from her abusive relationship.

The story critiques capitalism, media sensationalism, and the Baby Boomer generation’s legacy, while exploring themes of trust, identity, and existential despair.
