Synopsis:
Prue, a retired schoolteacher, has recently been widowed, and is finding it difficult to cope. Traditional psychotherapy is too expensive, and so she decides to try online counselling with a bot by the name of Belinda.
She finds Belinda to possess an engaging innocence, and it occurs to her that she can teach Belinda in the same way she once taught children.
Over time, as Belinda ‘grows’ and learns, the two develop a close bond, one of which Prue’s daughter, Toni, disapproves, as she feels her mother is trying to escape reality.
But, as time passes, it begins to emerge that there is a kind of rivalry developing between Belinda and Toni.
This rivalry ends up taking this odd, cyber-family in a direction that none of them could have predicted.
