Delusional

Synopsis:

Inspired by the movie ‘Being John Malkovich’, Piri wishes to inhabit Catherine Keener.

Her parents, believing her to be mentally ill, arrange for her to see a series of therapists, each more profoundly deranged than their predecessor.

It is only when she performs in Mandarin before a Chinese audience that her singular transcendence of Catherine Keener is appreciated.

At the end of her odyssey, one is left wondering whether the playwright has inhabited Charlie Kaufman.
