Synopsis:

Based on the true story of Dennis Wolanski, a Polish Jew who was hidden in a cellar by non-Jewish Poles during the Nazi occupation.

However, part of the way through the war, his protectors lost their nerve and tried to kill him

Beyond that point, and up until the end of the war, each party was terrified that the other would expose them to the Nazis, resulting in severe punishment and almost certain death.
